Break Information and Housing Request

Spring Break Closing Information

**UPDATE**
In order to allow our students to support our Women's basketball team at the tournament this weekend, we are allowing all residential students to stay in their building without charge through Sunday at noon!
Go Storm!

All residence halls and apartments will close on Friday, March 7, at 6:00pm for Spring Break. Halls will re-open on Sunday, March 16, at 12:00pm. During this time no student will be permitted in the halls or apartments without having been requested and approved through the Department of Residence Life. Students requesting permission to stay must come to the Student Development Office no later than Friday, February 29, to fill out a Break Housing Contract or fill out the new online form below.

Those who are approved to stay on campus for reasons of their own will be charged according to the schedule below to their student account unless they live in a Theme House or an apartment, or are an International Student. Apartment residents and international students must still sign up on the Apartment Break sign-up sheet in Student Development or use the online form (see form below) to keep their ID cards activated. There is no Break Housing charge for those participating in athletics, a College sponsored trip, student teaching, international students, or those living in apartments or Theme Houses. However, to be approved, your coach, trip-sponsor, etc, must submit your name to Residence Life by the stated deadline. Charges for Break Housing (if applicable) are added to student accounts the week following the end of break.

Before leaving for break, please do the following:
Remove all garbage, including empty beverage containers
Close and lock all windows, close blinds
      Turn off all lights
Unplug ALL appliances including refrigerators and aquariums

Dining Services (Pfeiffer and the Grille) are closed during the break period.  The last meal served will be lunch Friday, March 7. Normal hours resume on Monday, March 17.
