Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. The Simpson campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity frequently participates in building and remodeling projects in conjunction with the Warren County chapter of Habitat. Many projects take place in Des Moines. In addition to Saturday work trips and fund raisers, the chapter travels to a new location each year to build one or more houses over the week of spring break. Habitat is a great way to get involved, have fun, and meet new people!

Kiya Koda Humane Society
RLC does not formally volunteer with Kiya Koda (although we encourage students to go and serve) but takes part in a non-stop fundraising project for the agency. Just outside of Smith Chapel office you can find a collection envelope for Kiya Koda - but we don't want your cash - we want your HyVee receipts! For every $100,000 worth of receipts Kiya Koda collects, HyVee donates $1,000 to the organization.
Check out the Events Calendar to learn more about what is going on.
