Religion

Internships & Graduate Schools

I changed my major from Elementary Education to Religion because I found the Religion Cornerstone courses to be interesting, engaging and enlightening for me. The faculty in the Religion Department were great supporters of my educational interests and enthusiasm. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with a Religion Major, but I decided to leave for seminary after graduation (yet seminary is not the only option with a Religion Major). Being part of the Religion Department provided new perspectives on life and a new lenses to see the world.  I found it fascinating and intriguing. Now I am a Resident Chaplain at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Georgia. I'll finish my residency in June to find a job working within Youth Ministry or College Campus Ministry. My education at Simpson helped prepare me for my graduate studies at Candler School of Theology, Emory University in Atlanta. In short, my education at Simpson was a wonderful experience and helped me to see the endless possibilities for my future.
