Simpson Great Ape Studies Program

For the past four years, the Simpson Great Ape Studies Program has provided selected undergraduates unique research and learning experiences through a partnership with Great Ape Trust of Iowa.  Unfortunately, a shortage of funds at Great Ape Trust has resulted in the suspension of Simpson student and faculty work at the Trust.  The on-campus activities of the Simpson program are ongoing.  Due to the uncertain future of the Great Ape Trust, Simpson College is currently unable to award Great Ape Trust scholarships and research support to new students.  We sincerely hope the Great Ape Trust can resolve its challenges and again be open to collaborative research and educational activities.
