Simpson Profiles - Tiffany

tiffanyeTiffany is devoted to making a difference in children’s lives. The senior psychology major from Tripoli, IA works for the Homestead, an organization that provides services for autistic children.

"I provide in-home services for autistic children in the surrounding communities. We work with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs and therapy. It has really helped me connect the concepts I learn in class to the real world. It has been an amazing experience.”

In addition to her academic life, Tiffany stays busy playing varsity volleyball for the Storm, and was even named the Iowa Conference Most Valuable Player in 2006. She also serves on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) and volunteers for Big Buddies through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Iowa.

After taking the GRE exam, she plans to apply to graduate school to pursue a career in clinical or school psychology.

“I feel well prepared for my future. My professors specialize in diverse areas, provide tremendous one-on-one interaction and offer lots of feedback with regard to class performance, graduate school preparation and research.”
