Fred Thompson and a group of Simpson students

College Republicans
College Republicans are a student-run group with the goal of promoting the interests of the Republican Party at Simpson College and in Iowa. Students in the group are active in local and national campaigns, connect students to volunteering and internship opportunities, and invite speakers to educate the campus about Republican candidates and ideals.

College Democrats
College Democrats are a student-run organization supporting the interests and candidates of the Democratic Party at Simpson College and in Iowa. College Democrats work actively during Iowa Caucus season, sponsor "get out the vote" and other awareness campaigns, and bring speakers to educate the campus about Democratic politics and ideals.

Model U.N.
Simpson College students participate in the Midwest Model United Nations (MMUN). MMUN is an all-college organization dedicated to a "Venture in Practical Education." It is designed as a forum for students to work on pressing international issues outside of class, and to broaden their awareness of world politics. Students play the role of a nation's delegation to the United Nations and travel to a Model UN conference in St. Louis, Missouri each spring. The hundreds of students who attend learn about and experience the complexities of international relations.
