The ability to think critically, communicate effectively and act ethically are at the foundation of many occupations. Degrees in philosophy and religion are designed to teach these skills and heighten moral awareness. Philosophy aims to develop both a deepened self awareness and a global perspective. The religion major aids students in understanding the Judeo-Christian traditions and other religions of the world. Both majors offer a senior seminar class where students will prepare and present a senior thesis paper in preparation for graduate study.
