New leadership program begins
Oct. 21, 2009
The new President’s Leadership Certificate program will begin this semester with a group of 55 Simpson students.
Run through the Center for Vocation and Integrative Learning, the President’s Leadership Certificate program supports and recognizes students who are committed to being leaders in their communities.
Members of the program will engage in their communities in various ways, participate in small group reflection sessions and design and attend leadership development retreats.
“The major benefit to students is that by engaging with other leaders in meaningful reflection, not only will they build connections with other students and their passions, but they will be better prepared to begin seeing the big picture in relation to the difference they are making in their communities,” said Bobby Nalean, leadership and service coordinator for CVIL.
