Karen Eterovich returns to Simpson College to perform Cheer From Chawton: A Jane Austen Family Theatrical Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Pote Theatre in the Blank Performing Arts Center.

Jane Austen has prepared entertainment for her family. Her siblings are to take part as fellow performers, but Jane’s family has played a trick on her, leaving her to tackle the audacious task of an unrehearsed solo performance. They have provided her with a box of props and a list of topics, quizzing her on her life, publication history and the inspiration behind her work. These serve as the springboard for an evening filled with Jane’s pointed observations on her family, friends, suitors and society.

The event is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
