SIFE places in regional competition

The Simpson College chapter of Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) placed as first runner-up at the SIFE Regional Competition in Minneapolis, Minn. March 20.

With the assistance of Tom Schmidt, chair of the department of business administration and economics, the SIFE team worked for more than 1,000 hours on eight projects that they presented to a panel of business leaders.  

“Our students consistently perform well at the SIFE Regional Competition, and this year was no different,” said Tom Schmidt. “Simpson’s SIFE chapter is very active in the local business community, and the experiences Simpson students gain through the organization are extremely beneficial for their professional development.”
