Award-winning author speaks

Writer Molly Giles will speak as part of the Simpson English Department’s annual Poets and Writers Series April 2 at 7 p.m. in Jordan Lecture Hall.

Giles is the author of Rough Translations, which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. The book won many prestigious writing awards, including the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction and the Pushcart Prize.

She is also the author of Iron Shoes: A Novel and Creek Walk and Other Stories.
