March 15, 2008
Simpson College will host nearly 150 sixth through 12th graders during the 22nd annual South Central Iowa Science and Engineering Fair (SCISEF) March 15.
SCISEF is designed to promote science in the schools. Students exhibiting at the fair have a chance to win scholarships and other prizes. They also gain valuable feedback and encouragement from the many science professionals, who donate their time to serve as judges at the fair.
Students come from across the state to participate in the event.
The public is welcome to come and view the science projects from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Carver Science Center. An awards ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. in Smith Chapel.
