The music department will sponsor many performances throughout the month of April. All performances are free and open to the public.

Schedule of performances:

• April 1 – The Simpson College Jazz Ensemble 8 p.m. in Lekberg Hall. Under the direction of Dave Camwell.
• April 6 – The Simpson College Choir and Chorale. 2:30 p.m. in Smith Chapel. Under the direction of Timothy A. McMillin.
• April 13 – The Madrigal Singers in Concert. 2:30 and 4 p.m. in Lekberg Hall. Featuring Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Unicorn, the Gorgon and the Manticore with instrumental ensemble and dancers. Under the direction of Robert L. Larsen.
• April 16 – The Simpson College Symphonic Band. 7 p.m. in Blank Performing Arts Center. Under the direction of Jay Nugent.
• April 27 – The Simpson College Alumni Masterworks Chorale. 7 p.m. in Smith Chapel. Under the direction of Timothy A. McMillin.
