“Tuesdays with a Professor,” sponsored by the Lilly Initiative for Vocational Exploration, began Jan. 22 with a presentation by Dick Tinder, professor of computer science, and continued Jan. 29 with a discussion lead by Nick Proctor, associate professor of history.

During the program, professors share stories from their lives and explain how their paths brought them to Simpson College. The purpose of this informal and conversational program is to demonstrate how each person’s vocational journey requires negotiation of interesting twists and turns.

All “Tuesdays with a Professor” sessions take place in Dirlam Lounge in Smith Chapel from 12:45 to 1:20 p.m. Other presenters this semester are:

• Feb. 12 – Ryan Rehmeier, assistant professor of biology
  
• Feb. 26 – Jan Everhart, director of the Lilly Initiative
  
• April 8 – Kedron Bardwell, assistant professor of political science
