August 21, 2009
Simpson College was recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s 2010 edition of “America’s Best Colleges.”
Simpson was listed as one of the top 100 colleges in the nation for the highest percent of students who study abroad. Nearly 45 percent of Simpson students study abroad during their time at the college, in part because Simpson provides so many opportunities for students to learn internationally.
Simpson offers five semester-long study abroad programs to London, England; Rosario, Argentina; Schorndorf, Germany; Tahiti, French Polynesia; and Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. Simpson also offers many international travel courses during its three-week May Term. Last May, travel courses took students to diverse locations such as France, Ecuador, Rwanda, Poland and Ireland.
Simpson was also named one of the top 100 colleges in the nation with the highest percentage of students who participate in a fraternity. Participating in Greek Life is just one of the many ways students can get involved at Simpson. Greek Life provides students with many opportunities for leadership, community service and social activities.
