Farnham Galleries open

Simpson alumni Mary Lundberg will present “The Real and Imagined” at the Farnham Galleries Sept. 1 through Sept. 18.
The exhibit was inspired by the animals she encountered while volunteering at a rural shelter in the mountains in Tennessee.
The show displays photography of cats and dogs as well as manipulated digital imagery, drawings and mixed-media pieces. Lundberg uses photography to present the real imprisoned animals and a variety of mixed-media pieces to present pictures of the animals outside cages.
An opening reception for Lundberg will be help Sept. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. The Farnham Galleries are located on the third floor of Mary Berry Hall and are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours are available upon request by calling (515) 961-1761.
