Peace activist speaks

Kathy Kelly, educator and peace activist, will present “Eyewitness to War” April 6 at 7 p.m. in Camp Lounge.

Kelly, who was once nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, founded Voices for Creative Nonviolence Campaign, a nonprofit organization based in Chicago. The organization works to oppose U.S. actions of war through nonviolence resistance. Before founding Voices for Creative Nonviolence Campaign, Kelly worked to oppose U.S./UN sanctions in Iraq through Voices in the Wilderness. She has traveled to Iraq more than 20 times.
