Science symposium held

April 16, 2009

The Simpson College Moody Research Symposium will be held April 16 in the Carver Science Center.

Poster presentations of student research will take place from 6 to 6:30 p.m. in the Carver Atrium. Posters will cover a range of topics, from human physiology to the feasibility of the use of a wind turbine at Simpson.

Five students will also speak about their research during the event. The oral presentations will take place in Jordan Lecture Hall of the Carver Science Center, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The presentations are as follows:

  • “Do Snakes React to Anticides under Artificial Cover Objects” at 6:30 p.m.
  • “The Role of Cadherins in Regulating Cell Fate in the Xenopus laevis Embryo” at 6:45 p.m.
  • “Statins Stimulate Programmed Cell Death” at 7 p.m.
