Simpson College will present its annual senior art exhibit, featuring the works of graduating Simpson art majors, April 17 through May 17 in the Farnham Galleries.
The exhibit is the culmination of seven students’ undergraduate art study. The works were created during the fall semester.
The exhibit features a variety mediums and art techniques. The students whose works are being displayed are:
- Nicole Anderson. She produced a magazine publication directed toward young women. The publication emphasizes layout and graphic design.
- Krystal Berger. Her six pieces explore natural, mechanical and human elements and their relationships using photography, graphic design and ink.
- Beriet Bichel. Her sculpture installation is based on the theme of time.
- Joe Kanyavimonh. His large pieces combine the styles of spray painted graffiti art with acrylic painting.
- Amy Kern. Her gouache paintings are done in art nouveau style with a related digital media Web site.
- Allison Singleton. She produced a collection of contemporary photography exploring different moods and emotions.
- Rachelle Woodley. Her rustic wooden shadow boxes depict characteristics of mother and father.
A reception will be held opening night from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Farnham Galleries.
The Farnham Galleries in Mary Berry Hall are open Monday through Friday
from
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
