Jin Young (Jean) Park

Jean ParkJean earned a B.M. degree in Korea where she worked at Samick Instrumental Company as a performer, teacher, and arranger for the Digital Piano Ensemble, and also worked at Sangjiwon Inc. (Alfred sub-publishing company) as a director in the Educational and Editorial Department. In 1996, she began graduate studies at the University of Oklahoma where she recently completed a D.M.A. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. Park studied with Dr. Andrew Cooperstock and Dr. Jane Magrath and served as a graduate assistant for opera and string accompanying. She has performed in master classes with Leon Fleisher, Misha Dichter and Barry Douglas, and was a winner of the Donna Turner Smith piano competition as well as the concerto competition at OU. In addition, Park gave numerous collaborative recitals in a variety of settings and served as an organist at the Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Norman.
