MLK Day Observance 2008 Marin Luther King day observance was marked by a speech from Ako Abdul Samad. It was a part of the forum event for our students. He talked about what it meant to live in a diverse community. |

Chinese New Year 2008 The students from MSA helped to set up displays and decorations for the Chinese New Year. It was a great cultural experience for our students to observe the marshall arts, acrobatics and various other culture from China as a part of celebrating their new year.

Soul Food 2008 Soul Food 2008 was organized as a part of the African American History Month celebration. Special delicacies like black eyed peas, cornbread, fried chicken, macroni and cheese, yams, and chili were enjoyed by all. Great turnout! |

| Beginning the Year Barbeque This is the start of a great new year and our introduction to the incoming students. It is held as a 'get to know you' session at the Carver Cultural Center. |

| Fall Break Trip 2005 - Milwaukee This ISO sponsored trip offers to International Students a place to go during the 2 day break in order to reduce homesickness and give an opportunity to see a new place!! |

| International Food Festival This event is held to further introduce the Simpson students to the many tastes of the world. There is also music to accompany the journey into other countries! |

Kwanzaa Feast The dinner, sponsored by MSA and Interfaith, is held to give Simpson students an introduction into an African American tradition as well as a break before finals week. |
