Below are the list of programs and events that are conducted or promoted through the Multicultural and International affairs office.

	MLK Day Observance 2008 Marin Luther King day observance was marked by a speech from Ako Abdul Samad. It was a part of the forum event for our students. He talked about what it meant to live in a diverse community.
	Chinese New Year 2008 The students from MSA helped to set up displays and decorations for the Chinese New Year. It was a great cultural experience for our students to observe the marshall arts, acrobatics and various other culture from China as a part of celebrating their new year.
	Soul Food 2008 Soul Food 2008 was organized as a part of the African American History Month celebration. Special delicacies like black eyed peas, cornbread, fried chicken, macroni and cheese, yams, and chili were enjoyed by all. Great turnout!
See Photos	International Students Orientation International students arrive a couple of days earlier to campus. During this time a special orientation is given to the students.
See Photos	Beginning the Year Barbeque This is the start of a great new year and our introduction to the incoming students. It is held as a 'get to know you' session at the Carver Cultural Center.
See Photos	Culture Fest Sample dishes on the first meal of the year from around the globe - Everyone is invited to this feast celebrating the diversity on our campus and the dishes that they bring!
See Photos	Fall Break Trip 2005 - Milwaukee This ISO sponsored trip offers to International Students a place to go during the 2 day break in order to reduce homesickness and give an opportunity to see a new place!!
See Photos	George Washington Carver Lecture This annual speech is given during Black History Month and usually features a prominent African American speaker with introductions by the President of the College and of the Mulicultural Student Alliance.
See Photos	International Food Festival This event is held to further introduce the Simpson students to the many tastes of the world. There is also music to accompany the journey into other countries!
See Photos	Kwanzaa Feast The dinner, sponsored by MSA and Interfaith, is held to give Simpson students an introduction into an African American tradition as well as a break before finals week.

See Photos	Salsa Night Dance to the 'Latin Rhythmz' DJ and learn the steps of Salsa from our hired dance instructor in the BSC Grill. Enjoy this huge party right in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month!
See Photos	Soul Food Sampler Sponsored by the MSA, this event is held during African American History Month and offers dishes like black-eyed peas, cornbread, chicken wings, and peach cobbler.
See Photos	Spring Break Trip 2005 - New Orleans This week long trip, sponsored in part by the Religious Life Council, offers an enjoyable alternative trip and opportunities for community service.
See Photos	Spring Break Trip 2006 - New Orleans This trip, sponsored in part by RLC and LIVE, offered 16 students a chance to see and learn from the devastation of hurricane Katrina as they helped with the rebuilding process.
