Simpson College’s Counseling and Career Services will present “Starting a New Journey of Your Own” parent orientation at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26 in Camp Lounge of the Brenton Student Center. 

A panel of parents who have sent one or more of their children off to college will be present to help first-time parents of college students. Each panel member will tell a little story about their child going off to college and then answer any questions that parents might have.

Nancy Byrd, wife of Simpson’s president John W. Byrd, will welcome parents and there will also be a student panel to answer questions from a students’ perspective.
