Simpson alumnus was scheduled to perform for inauguration

Tenor Theodore Green will not give his recital that was scheduled for 8 p.m. on March 31 in Great Hall due to illness.

A 1995 graduate of the college, Green will perform works by Handel, Rachmaninoff, Strauss and Poulenc while accompanied by Robert L. Larsen on the piano. Green has performed a number of roles with the Des Moines Metro Opera, including the Earl of Essex in “Gloriana” this past season. He has also recently performed with the Royal Swedish Opera, the Michigan Opera Theater and the Vancouver and Seattle operas.
