The Simpson College feminist group Sophia will host Take Back the Night, a rally to raise awareness about women in society who feel threatened to be alone at night, at 7 p.m. on March 23 in the Circle of Knowledge outside the Brenton Student Center.

During the rally Simpson College assistant professor of English Beth Jorgensen will speak on her past experience with violence. Designed to educate people about women’s issues and create an understanding of what feminism really is, Sophia is also selling T-shirts for the rally for $10 with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Warren County Domestic Violence Center.
