Jazz ensemble breathes new life into Big Band with Nostalgia Dance

The sweet sounds of the 1940s are experiencing a strong revival at Simpson College and to share this renewed interest, the Simpson College Jazz Ensemble will host a Nostalgia Dance at 8 p.m. on March 25 in Great Hall.

The Nostalgia Dance has a long history at Simpson College, but has not been held for the past two years. The event, which is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Mu Phi Epsilon, is making its return. The unforgettable night of dancing will feature fun and exciting jazz tunes that are known and loved by many, including songs from such greats as Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman.
