Women in America lecture to take place March 22

Editor of “Critical Race Feminism” to speak at Simpson College

Adrien Wing, professor of law at the University of Iowa and editor of “Critical Race Feminism: A Reader,” will give the Women in America lecture at 7 p.m. on March 22 in Lekberg Hall.

Titled “Critical Race Feminism: Women of Color and the Law,” the lecture will feature the stories and accomplishments of women from around the world in honor of women's history month.

Wing specializes in both U.S. and international law and has been published on issues such as constitutionalism in Namibia, South Africa and Palestine, rape in Bosnia, and women’s rights in South Africa and black America. She is also on the board of editors of the American Journal of Comparative Law.

The Women in America lecture is free and open to the public. Wing’s lecture will be followed by a question and answer session. For more information, phone (515) 961-1600.
