Lora Friedrich, director of women’s studies and chair of the department of social science at Simpson College, will present “Blest Be the Thai That Binds: Looking Back at my Peace Corps Experience” at 7 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the Pioneer Conference Room in McNeill Hall on Simpson’s Indianola campus.
Friedrich will share her experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer and what the program offers college graduates. She will share photographs of her experiences and talk about the changes taking place in Thailand and within Peace Corps today. A Peace Corps recruiter will be on campus to provide additional information this spring.
