For more than 25 years, Simpson College has hosted Lessons and Carols, a holiday event filled with song, sound and scriptural readings. The Lessons and Carols service will be held again this year at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 in Smith Chapel on the Simpson College campus in Indianola.

The all-campus event highlights traditional English Christmas carols with performances from the Simpson College Choir, the Women’s Chorale, the Simpson College Brass Ensemble and the ever-popular Madrigal Singers. Modeled after similar services at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, England, the service has been held at Simpson since the 1970s.
