Listen to a diverse selection of music, from classic band literature to jazz, during the Simpson College Symphonic Band concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8 in Pote Theater of the Blank Performing Arts Center on the Simpson College campus in Indianola.

Under the direction of Jay Nugent, the concert will include “The Winds in the Willows” based on the children’s story, “Georgia On My Mind” featuring an alto saxophone solo from faculty member Dave Camwell, and a traditional march by Iowa composer Karl King.
