The Simpson College Symphonic Band will present its final concert of the season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 in Pote Theater of the Blank Performing Arts Center.
Under the direction of Jay Nugent, the band will perform a variety of classic band works by Hultgren, Grainger, Gillingham and Van der Roost. In the jazz mode, the band will present Frank Ticheli's "Blue Shades," and rounding out the concert will be saxophone professor Dave Camwell and senior saxophone majors Michael Fisher and Ben Thompson on David Maslanka's "Hell's Gate.”
