Missy DeYoung is the Web Architect for Simpson College. Her responsibilities include the graphics, design, coding and architecture of the main simpson.edu Web site. She is also responsible for the implementation of and training on the OmniUpdate content management system that allows the faculty and staff to make content changes on the site. She also leads researching, planning and implementing electronic marketing strategies to support the college's strategic and enrollment goals.

DeYoung came to Simpson in 2003 after a 5-year stint as Drake University's Web editor. She has been in the Web design business since 1996, working for a commercial firm with such clients as the Iowa Cubs, Iowa Barnstormers, Laser 103.3, KIOA, Zooks Harley Davidson and others. Before the Internet, she worked in local media at both KCCI television and KFMG radio in Des Moines.

DeYoung is a graduate of the University of Iowa. In her spare time, she herds cats.
