Thrusday Night Live (TNL)

The Lilly Initiative offers a series of vocationally oriented career exploration retreats each fall and spring.  The retreats assist students who may be struggling with issues of finding "meaningful work," and those working to balance "doing the good," earning a living and leading a meaningful life.

The retreats have two student target groups:

  1. "Undecided" students in their sophomore and junior years who are unsure of a career path and still unsure of a specific major.
  2. Students who have selected a career path and major but wish to engage in some meaningful conversation and reflection regarding what it might mean to "do the good" while pursuing a specific career direction.

The retreats focus on vocation and allow students to discuss and reflect upon things that bring deep gladness into their personal lives such as personal gifts, faith and values, as well as help students to discuss and reflect upon the issues that still present a deep hunger in the world.

The retreats are held on Thursday nights and include dinner.  There will be three to four retreats held each semester.
