Wesley Service Scholars is a program to support students who are involved in volunteer service. If you are already volunteering in a service agency (a school, sports program, non-profit agency, church, etc.) and would like to do some reflection with other students about your service, then the Wesley Service Scholar program is for you! If you are not currently volunteering but would like to, we can provide a list of potential service sites. We offer a $500 stipend through your financial aid account in exchange for:
- 80 hours of verified service (40 each semester)
- Selected common readings regarding service
- Your participation in a peer group to reflect on your experiences (food for these meetings provided!)
- A simple journal in which you write about your service.
You may register for a one-credit Simpson Service Forum.
