UNDECIDED ABOUT YOUR FUTURE?
The Sophomore Forum is designed for second year students who are looking for some guidance in focusing their studies (and life!) as they determine a major and a life direction. The forum, for one credit, will offer two "tracks"
- One is similar to the regular Simpson forum track but with 7 required forum events and discussion/reflection with other students and with the instructor.
- The second track includes three forum events and 10 hours of service-learning at a site that matches the student's interest and passion.
The Sophomore Forum is offered each semester. Look for course SF 290A, Sophomore Forum for 1 hour of credit. The instructor is Dr. Jim Hayes, Lilly Initiative.
The forum is a direct response to requests from sophomore students and is an opportunity for students to continue to reflect on questions of call raised in the first year.
If you have questions contact Jim Hayes at 1281 or email jim.hayes@simpson.edu.
