Notice: Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials. Under certain conditions specified by law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproductions. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research."
(1) Off-air recordings may only be used for classes within 10 class days after broadcast taping.(2)Off-air recordings made through the library's media services department are on loan from the library.(3) Off-air recordings must be returned to the Media Services Office within 45 days.(4) Off-air recordings may not be added to the library collections. They will be erased when returned.
If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes exceeding these guidelines, that user, or the user's institution, may be liable for copyright infringement. The library reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
