A Tree Falls on Dunn Library

Due to a summer rain storm on June 18th, a tree fell on Dunn Library's entrance. It damaged the second floor window area.

Is Dunn Library going green? No, this was not intentional.

The culprit was the tree to the north of the entrance which split during the storm the previous evening.

Tree removal equipment

After the smaller branches were trimmed off, a crane was brought in from C Street to remove the main limb.

Second floor of Dunn Library

The fallen tree damaged the panels on the 2nd floor window and rested precariously on the entrance canopy. This photo was taken from 2nd floor.

The last remnants were cleaned up that afternoon. There were 2 tons of tree limbs in all.
