Consulting Librarian/Faculty Liaison Program
The consulting librarian will:
- facilitate annual department meeting about library resources;
- consult with the liaison about course/research/degree changes that might impact collections, instruction and other library services;
- keep the liaison informed about new library initiatives including resources, services, instruction and web pages;
- collaborate with the liaison to develop a useful collection to meet departmental needs; and,
- work closely with the liaison on collection development, especially journal and database holdings.
The library asks that the departmental faculty liaison:
- schedule annual department meeting about library resources with librarian;
- keep your librarian informed about course/research/degree changes that might impact collections, instruction and other library services;
- encourage all faculty to communicate their individual information and instruction needs with your librarian;
- share library communications with your colleagues; and,
- facilitate discussion of collection development, especially journal and database holdings.

- Books: funding, withdrawals, e-books
- Reference: print, online
