The
College Archives
, housed on the third floor of Dunn Library, preserves and makes available materials and memorabilia about Simpson College from its beginnings in 1860.
Items
from the archives are on display in the front lounge of the library.
The
Craven Collection
includes Dr. Avery Craven's personal library of books, notes and manuscripts on the history of the Antebellum South. Craven is a 1908 Simpson graduate. The collection is housed in the Avery O. and Georgia Craven room on the second floor of Dunn Library.
The
Iowa History Center
at Simpson College is currently housed in the Craven Room on the second floor of Dunn Library. History professor Bill Friedricks is the director.
