About Dunn Library

The library was completed in 1964 and named in honor of Rex A. Dunn, a Simpson alumnus. It contains over 175,000 items including books, periodicals, videos/DVDs, and CDs.  Many resources (print and online) can be located from the library website. The building features individual study carrels, lounge study areas, wireless access and a fish pond.  The Avery Craven Room, located on the second floor, contains one of the most complete Antebellum Era collections in existence, as well as the Lehmann Collection of Ancient Pottery.  The third floor houses the College Archives and the Hawley Academic Resource Center.
