Taste of Leadership
“Taste of Leadership” is a program designed to help students think about and discuss the topic of leadership. What is the definition of leadership? What do leaders do? Are there different kinds of leadership? Are you a leader? These are a few of the questions up for discussion with the help of a guest/s who consistently demonstrates strong leadership qualities. The conversation takes place over dinner; the "family dinner" format is designed to welcome a casual conversation and sharing of ideas.
If your group or organization would like to plan a “Taste of Leadership” event for your members, please contact Bobby Nalean.
Leadership Retreats and Workshops
Throughout the year, various leadership development retreats and workshops take place. Workshops are typically shorter in length than retreats and focus more specifically on a specific dimension in relation to leadership, such as the Leadership and Diversity Workshop which happens each spring. Retreats and workshops are designed to help students develop skills but also to build relationships with other participants and special guest speakers. Retreats will be an integral component for participants in the President’s Leadership Certificate program, but all students are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
