Culture Studies
The Department of World Language and Culture Studies offers a series of culture studies courses designed to increase global awareness and intercultural understanding among all students. In these courses, you will examine a variety of societies, exploring their practices and perspectives to better understand appropriate and effective ways of communicating and interacting with members of those societies. You will learn how to analyze a variety of world views, gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between language and culture, and evaluate cultural stereotypes through authentic materials. These skills enhance any career path, particularly in our increasingly global society.
