To set up your computer you need to be in wireless access area and have a computer that has wireless capabilities.
Please follow these instructions in order to set up your connection.
Note: These instructions are for using the Windows wireless configuration manager, all managers should have essentially the same settings and can be used if you do not see the Windows Wireless Manager in the systray.
1. Double click on the Wireless Configuration manager icon in the system tray.
2. Click the View Wireless Networks button.
3. On the left side of the window click Change the order of preferred networks.
4. In the Wireless Network Connection Properties window choose the Wireless Networks tab at the top. Make sure there is a check mark in the box for Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings. Now click the Add button.
5. First change the Network Authentication to WPA and the Data encryption to TKIP. Next, type scstudent for the Network name (SSID).
6. Now click on the Authentication tab at the top of the window. Uncheck the box next to Authenticate as computer when computer information is available. For the EAP type click the down arrow to select Protected EAP (PEAP) and click Properties.
7. On the Properties window, put a check in the box next to Enable Fast Reconnect at the bottom of the windows and click Configure.
8. Uncheck the box next to Automatically use my Windows logon name and password.
9. All configurations are complete. Click OK to all open windows back to the desktop. In a few seconds a popup box titled Wireless Network Connection will appear, click anywhere on the pop-up.
10. The next window will ask if you wish to install the certificate, click Yes. You should now see the same pop up again click on it and enter your User name, Password and Logon domain. Enter your email User name and password and enter SC for the Logon domain.
11. The CleanAccess window should pop-up just as it does when you are physically connected to the Simpson network. Follow that process the same as when connected with a network cable.
