Accessing WebCT through StormFront
Enabling Cookies in Internet Explorer 6 and Above
(If you login to StormFront, click on My Budget or My Class Schedule and are prompted for your login and password again. You need to enable cookies on your machine or change your time zone to central time zone.)
1) Click on the Tools Menu.
2) Choose Internet Options.
3) Click on the Privacy Tab.
4) Click on the Edit Button.
5) In Address of Web site, type https://web.simpson.edu
6) Click Allow
7) Click on the OK button.
Enabling Cookies in Internet Explorer 5

1) Click on the Tools Menu.
2) Choose Internet Options.
3) Click on the Security Tab.
4) Highlight the Internet Options Icon.
5) Click on the Custom Level Button.
6) Click on the Enable Option for Cookies.
7) Click on the OK button.
8) Click on the OK button.
Changing Your StormFront Password
Since the original password provided by Information Services is not a very secure password, we strongly recommend you change the password the first time you access your student information on the Web.
1) Start a Web Brower (Internet Explorer or Firefox).
2) Access the StormFront web page: https://web.simpson.edu/stormfront/stormfront.
3) Click on the Log In tab on the upper right-hand side of the screen.
4) Enter the log in and password you received in the memo from Information Services. (If you are prompted to let your browser save your password, choose No. This will help prevent others from accessing your student information.)
5) Click on the Submit button located below the password box.
6) Once you have logged in, a Change Password tab will appear next to the log out tab.
7) Enter your user name in the field labeled User Name. (NOTE: You can’t change your user name, only your password.)
8) Enter your old password in the field labeled Old Password.
9) Enter your new password in the field labeled New Password. (NOTE: Your password should contain uppercase letters, lowercase letters and numbers. Your new password needs to be at least 6 characters in length.) Your new password must be different than your last password.
10) Enter your new password a second time in the field labeled Confirm New Password.
11) Click on the Submit button located below the Confirm New Password box.
12) Click on the Logout button in the upper right-hand corner of the Web page.
Accessing your Grades in StormFront
Don’t forget to click on the Log Out button when you are done viewing your grades. This will help to prevent others from accessing your student information through the Web.
1) Start a Web Brower (Netscape or Internet Explorer).
2) Access the StormFront web page: https://web.simpson.edu/stormfront/stormfront.
3) Click on the Log In tab on the upper right-hand side of the screen.
4) Enter the log in and your current password. (If you are prompted to let your browser save your password, choose No. This will help prevent others from accessing your student information.)
5) Click on the Submit button.
6) Click on the link labeled Students.
7) Under the Academic Profile heading, click on the link labeled Grades.
8) If you are prompted to log in again you may need to enable cookies. Instructions can be found below.
9) Click the box to the left of the term for which you want to view your grades. (You can only view grades for one term at a time.)
10) Click on the submit button.
11) Click on the Log Out tab, located in the upper right-hand corner of the Web page, when you are done viewing your grades.
