Simpson College has a full time opening for an Advancement Associate.
Principal duties and responsibilities include:
- Creating, managing and directing Annual Fund Programs as assigned by
the Director of Development, including the Reunion Program; duties will
involve volunteer recruitment and management; as well as personal and
direct mail solicitation. - Directing the Simpson phonathon program, including recruiting, hiring,
training, and managing a team of student callers. Regular evening and
weekend hours are required. - At the direction of the Director of Alumni Relations plan, coordinate and
manage quarterly young alumni events, as well as other alumni events. - Developing, organizing and overseeing the Student Alumni Association
program. - Assisting with the electronic communication for the offices of advancement and alumni relations.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong skills in organization, planning, motivating others, setting priorities, and both written and oral communication. They must demonstrate success in managing relationships to achieve specific office goals.
Other requirements include a bachelor's degree, computing proficiency, and knowledge of Simpson College as well as a commitment to the values of private liberal arts colleges. Familiarity with college fundraising is highly desirable.
