I specialize in early modern European history. My current research is on crime and punishment in seventeenth-century England. My dissertation Unsettled Households: Domestic Homicide in Seventeenth-Century England (2007) delves into how cheap print media of the period constructed stories of familial murder to reflect popular attitudes about power, gender, sexuality, duty and responsibility.
