Greek Life

College can be so much more than just classes and homework; it is a time for growth and development. Fraternity and sorority life can foster the education of the whole person: intellectually, socially, and spiritually. Brotherhood and sisterhood, leadership, philanthropy, and scholarship are but a few of the areas in which the fraternity and sorority community at Simpson aspires to achieve excellence.

Greek life at Simpson offers a great experience for those who choose to join.  The greek letter organizations at Simpson have a long rich history and have clearly and positively impacted the lives of both current students ad alumni of Simpson College.

 Leadership

Enhancing students' leadership potential, whether through organizational involvement, civic engagement, or work experience is an important part of life at Simpson College.  Our goal through leadership development is to help student learn the leadership skills which help them not only on campus, but also beyond the borders of Simpson College.

Intramurals & Recreation

The office of intramurals and recreation is committed to helping students, faculty and staff become involved in recreational activities, regardless of age, sex, handicap, skill level, or past experience, in order to develop a lifetime interest in recreational and leisure time activities. Participation in intramural and recreation programs will prove beneficial to you personally, and to the success of your college career. The programs grant participants opportunities to develop lifetime qualities of leadership, cooperation, self-reliance and a sense of fair play.

Each student, faculty and staff member is invited to participate in as many activities as he or she wishes to explore.  Over 60% of the campus participates in one or more of the programs offered through the Office of Intramurals and Recreation.  Events are widely varied and skill or expertise is not requirement when participating events.  The goal is to participate and have fun.

Student Activities

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is one of the main programming organizations on campus.  CAB is an organization run by students for students and provides programs like, comedians, bands, movies, hypnotists and the popular Stormy Nights.  CAB is an organization that can provide you with many opportunities for involvement, ranging from being an active participant and member of CAB, to just attending one of the many programs offered.  As a member of CAB, you can be directly involved in the planning and promotion of any number and type of event.

CAB also oversees the Stormy Nights program which coordinates late night weekend programs for Simpson students to participate in. This program has quickly become a tradition for students and the Simpson community.  On any given weekend, you will find programs such as discounted late movies at the local theatre to karaoke, to midnight meals and so much more.
