Summer Registration Orientation

There's no better way to start your "Simpson Experience" than by coming to Summer Orientation. We have a variety of great activities planned. Check in will begin at 8:00 a.m. for first year students.

Please plan on spending the entire day on campus. You will meet your faculty advisor, choose your first semester classes, receive the summer reading (for first year students) and start building both personal and academic relationships.

FIRST YEAR STUDENT SCHEDULE

Start your day by picking up your schedule and other orientation information at the check-in table in the gallery of Brenton Student Center.

9:00 a.m. Student opening session
Great Hall
Your day starts with a big Simpson “Welcome” and an introduction of our academic program by the Director of the First Year Program, Dr. Nick Proctor. At the end of the opening session, students will be divided into their LAS group (new students enrolled in 4-5 LAS classes that are attending that day’s summer orientation – approx. 20 students).

9:30 a.m. Get in your LAS Group!
It’s time to start to work out your Fall class schedule with your Destination Leader. You’ll also be visited by your fall LAS faculty instructor and academic advisor!
