Recommendations for Teaching if a Flu Outbreak Occurs - Simpson is preparing in many ways for the possibility of an H1N1 flu outbreak. The recommendations on this web page should help you continue teaching, and your students continue learning, if class attendance ever is medically discouraged for you or many of your students.

Unofficial Advice about Summative Reviews - Sal Meyers, Director of Faculty Development, offers advice in an attempt to be helpful to faculty undergoing a summative review process.  The information has not been approved by the Faculty Personnel Committee nor the dean and is not official College policy.

Great Ideas for Teaching - These 20 minute sessions provide a concrete idea you can easily implement in your own classes.  All sessions are offered from 12:25-12:45 in the Great Hall.  Faculty Development will pay for your lunch at Pfeiffer; bring your lunch up and join us. The National Teaching & Learning Forum - This newsletter contains short, engaging articles about what actually works well in teaching and learning. Because it's available on the portal, you may be asked to login to StormFront.

Faculty Development Library - The faculty development library is located just behind the circulation desk in Dunn Library.  Faculty members are welcome to browse through the collection and see what is available. 

Thrive Guide - This Guide to Thriving at Simpson College contains information about developing as a teacher/scholar, managing time and stress, handling student problems, and more.

Academic Dean's Site - A welcome from the Academic Dean and connect to helpful services and resources for faculty.
