Admission
For admission to undergraduate and certificate programs
In order to receive a degree or certificate from Simpson College, a student must complete all application procedures and be officially accepted by the college. The Admissions Advisor is available to assist you in completing this process in Indianola, West Des Moines and Ankeny campuses. Katie Princehouse can be contacted at 515-961-1845 or at katie.princehouse@simpson.edu. Complete the part-time application for admission to Evening, Weekend and Graduate programs. Apply online or fill out and mail application.
- Submit official transcripts of high school and all previous college work; Forms for ordering transcripts are available. To obtain former transcripts contact your previous college(s). Normally the ACT/SAT exam requirement is waived for adult students; however, the college reserves the right to request ACT/SAT exam scores, depending upon the other academic credentials furnished;
- When a student is accepted by the admissions committee, he/she will be classified as a degree candidate upon payment of a one-time $75 matriculation fee and enrollment in the upcoming session.
Acceptance as a degree candidate confirms a student's requirements for graduation as described in the catalog in effect when admitted. Official admission to the college is needed for most state and federal financial aid.
