CoryAnne Harrigan has published annotations for Publius Papinius Statius’ Thebaid, or Seven Against Thebes, translated by Charles Stanley Ross, Johns Hopkins Press, 2004 and has given numerous conference papers on an assortment of topics in Renaissance literature. In 2003, she was an NEH Summer Institute fellow, participating in workshops on the Society for Values in Higher Education Stipend.
Professor Harrigan particularly enjoys teaching The Age of Chaucer, Major Authors of the English Renaissance, Major Plays of Shakespeare, and Classical Mythology. Her research/teaching interests, other than Renaissance lit, include American women poets, classical literature, and Shakespeare on film and in pop culture.
In addition to her classroom and research commitments, Professor Harrigan has served as faculty secretary since 2004. She is also a member of the Educational Policy and Curriculum Committee and has served on a variety of committees representing the concerns of minorities and women. She is currently a faculty advisor for Sophia, a women’s interest group at Simpson.
